Lacul Siutghiol separă stațiunea Mamaia de restul litoralului și este un lac salmastr de 21km² cu ape liniştite, ideal pentru sporturi nautice. Insula Ovidiu din mijlocul lacului, accesibilă cu barca, adăpostește ruinele unui castel medieval.

June through September. Higher-altitude lakes may freeze or be inaccessible in winter.
