Cookie policy

How and why we use cookies on this site.

We use cookies and similar technologies under Romanian Law no. 506/2004 and the GDPR. Cookies are small files stored on your device.

Categories

  • Strictly necessary (always on): login session, security tokens (CSRF), the visitor passport (used for check-in), remembering your consent choice.
  • Preferences: chosen language and theme. Basis: consent.
  • Statistics: our own visit statistics, with the IP address pseudonymised at ingestion (irreversible SHA-256 hash with a local salt). No profiling. We do not use Google Analytics.
  • Marketing: we do not currently use marketing/advertising cookies.

Third-party services

Some external services may receive your IP and user-agent when their content loads in your browser:

  • Maps: OpenStreetMap / Nominatim tile and search servers.
  • Trip planner: OSRM (router.project-osrm.org) for route calculation and Overpass API (overpass-api.de) for nearby station search.
  • Accommodation photos: hot-linked from AI-Cazare.ro servers.
  • Fonts: Bunny Fonts (fonts.bunny.net) — EU-hosted privacy-friendly drop-in for Google Fonts, run by BunnyWay d.o.o. (Slovenia); no IP logging, no cookies.

Managing consent

Change your choice anytime from the cookie banner (Cookie settings link in the footer) or your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the Site.

When you make a choice in the banner, we also keep an internal hashed record of it on our server (no personally identifiable data — only SHA-256 hashes of IP and user-agent, the choices, the policy version and the banner language), so that we can demonstrate your consent under Art. 7 GDPR. See the "Consent records" bullet in the Privacy Policy.
