Vârful Peleaga (2509m) este cel mai înalt vârf din Munții Retezat și al doilea din România. Traseul din Câmpusel sau Gura Zlata traversează peisaje alpine de o sălbăticie rară, cu lacuri glaciare, circuri și o faună montană bogată (capre negre, urși, lupi).

June through September for hiking. Snow conditions December through April.
