Mânăstirea Plopiș, cu o biserică de lemn din 1798 inclusă în patrimoniul UNESCO, este cel mai important monument de arhitectură religioasă din Sălaj. Construită fără cuie metalice în tehnici tradiționale de îmbinare a lemnului, turla zveltă și pictura interioară sunt valoroase.
