Mânăstirea Șumuleu Ciuc, cel mai important loc de pelerinaj catolic din România, găzduiește pe 15 august (Adormirea Maicii Domnului) cel mai mare pelerinaj catolic din Europa de Est — 100.000 de credincioși. Statuia Maicii Domnului din 1515 și atmosfera festivă sunt unice.
