Mânăstirea Sucevița, construită în 1584, este cea mai mare și mai bine conservată din cele cinci mânăstiri pictate din Bucovina incluse în patrimoniul UNESCO. Ansamblul monastic este înconjurat de ziduri de apărare înalte cu turnuri masive.
