Mânăstirea Govora (1492-1496), ctitorită de Radu cel Mare, este un lăcaș monahal de o valoare culturală excepțională. Cea mai veche tipografie din Muntenia a funcționat la Govora în 1640, producând primele cărți religioase în limba română. Tezaurul cu documente tipărite și pictura valoroasă.
