Mânăstirea Bistrița (1402), ctitorită de Alexandru cel Bun, este una dintre cele mai vechi mânăstiri din Moldova. Moaștele Sfântului Ioan de la Neamț, pictura murală valoroasă și tezaurul cu obiecte de cult din sec.XV-XVI o fac o destinație de pelerinaj importantă.
