Mânăstirea Arnota (1633-1636), ctitorită de Matei Basarab pe un vârf stâncos la 900m în Munții Buila-Vânturărița, adăpostește mormântul ctitorului. Pictura murală valoroasă, accesul spectacular prin pădure și panorama asupra Văii Bistricioarei fac din Arnota un monument impresionant.
