Podul de la Fetești (1895), proiectat de Anghel Saligny împreună cu Podul Cernavodă, formează cel mai lung ansamblu de poduri din Europa la momentul inaugurării. Traversarea brațelor Borcea și Dunării pe cele 4087m de oțel este o experiență de inginerie istorică unică.
