Biertan, cu Biserica Cetate luterană din 1490 inclusă în patrimoniul UNESCO, este cel mai bine conservat ansamblu medieval din Câmpia Transilvaniei. Cele trei ziduri concentrice de apărare și yurnul cu 13 lacăuri medievale sunt unice în lume.
