Cetatea Aradului, construită de habsburgi în stil Vauban în 1763, este una dintre cele mai bine conservate cetăți habsburgice din România. Cu șase bastioane și un sistem de șanțuri inundabile, cetatea a jucat un rol crucial în Revoluția de la 1848-1849 ca ultimul bastion maghiar.
