Palatul Știrbey de la Buftea, construit în 1850 pentru domnitorul Barbu Știrbei, este cel mai impozant palat neogotic din Câmpia Munteană. Parcul englezesc de 200 ha, lacul cu insulă și restaurantele din aripile palatului fac din Buftea o destinație de o zi din București.
